WDT & SDSM&T Core Survey Results

The Core Alcohol and Drug Survey was developed to measure alcohol and other drug usage, attitudes, and perceptions among college students at two and four year institutions.

The survey includes several types of items about drugs and alcohol including a student's own use, attitudes, perceptions and opinions of consequences of use.  In March, 2012, students attending the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSM&T) and Western Dakota Tech (WDT) were invited to take the online CoreSurvey. The Campuses Community Wellness Coalition (CCWC) has been the local organizer of this process since 2005. Students in various Rapid City higher educational institutions have taken this survey in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012.

Want to know how many students at these campuses are REALLY using drugs and alcohol? Look for posters and signs to be posted on the respective campuses, and survey results can also be seen here.
